Winthrop University
Alpha Delta Pi is proud to be the first secret society exclusively for women. Founded on May 15, 1851, at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia, our sorority is rich with tradition and sisterhood. Alpha Delta Pi sisters strive for excellence in philanthropy, academic performance, and campus leadership. In keeping with our motto, We Live for Each Other, our members have found a place for support, shared values, and personal development. Opportunities abound for the sisters of Alpha Delta Pi, and we look forward to sharing them with you.
This society grew to guide over 235,000 women in more than 146 active chapters, and over 150 alumnae associations. With a purpose of Scholarship, Leadership, Sisterhood, and Service, the Zeta Tau chapter of Alpha Delta Pi here at Winthrop University was founded on November 17th, 1979. We recently celebrated our 44th Anniversary! Our chapter currently consists of 24 members who are active inside and outside of the chapter. Whether our sisters are guiding incoming freshman during orientation, or leading as a Diversity Peer Mentor, the members of the Zeta Tau chapter are serving our campus and community in a variety of ways.
